At the Štore Green Steel Open 2025, players compete for victory, ATP points, and prize money. But there’s something equally important that must not be forgotten — Fair Play.

The first golden rule says: Play to win,

The second: Play fair.

And this year, the organizers have recognized a gesture — or rather, two gestures — truly worthy of acknowledgment.

18-year-old Kasra Rahmani from Iran is one of tennis’ brightest young prospects. He was eliminated in the first round here this year, maybe in the best performance we’ve seen at the tournament. After more than three hours of thrilling tennis, it was Italy’s Gianmarco Ferrari who came out on top.

But in the most crucial moments of the match, Kasra admitted two errors that the referee didn’t see — effectively awarding two points to his opponent. He eventually lost the match, but he became a true winner, showing everyone what it means to be a real athlete and a true sportsman.
